A Walk to the Sphere and through the Venetian

 Today started with a 3 mile walk past the Sphere and into the Venetian. The weather was nice. It started at 66º and when we got back it was 77º.

The gates to the Sphere open at 3:15 so we will get there close to that time. The show itself will be a separate post. Keep clicking every day.

Las Vegas : Oct. 21, 2025

 

Tuesday October 21

Paul turns 81 on Friday and for his birthday this year (since we didn't do anything special on his 80th), we decided to fly out west for 10 days. Our first stop is Las Vegas to see The Wizard of Oz. We flew from Tampa to Austin, TX, ate lunch, then caught a flight to Vegas. We got a little lost on our way to the hotel but I finally got the GPS on the car working. We got here with 5 minutes to go for their evening reception. We ordered doubles of our drinks, then I snacked on veggies, dip and some nut mixes.

Then I went up to the room and stood on the balcony to get these shots and videos.

I'm having difficulty posting videos right now. But when I figure it out, I will post a few. They are pretty spectacular.

We are on Pacific time, so I went to bed at 9:00 PM. Tomorrow we will wander over to the Sphere then go to the Strip but I doubt we'll walk far. We may decide to tour the Venetian, as it is right next to the Sphere.
